we have finally decided to buy a house in our downtown historic neighborhood, hampton heights. the one we selected is a three bedroom, 2 bath house; it's 80 years old this year, and sits on a nice large lot. for the past month or so we have been slowly renovating it, and our plans are to move in this july. a contractor is coming in next month to put in a new HVAC, and the electrical work has already started. it's a huge project, but brad and i are both extremely excited about the process of rehabbing a historic home, customizing it to our own needs, and learning how to do all the renovation work.
